The Paganoonoo Patti blouse, upcycled from button-down shirts, is my favorite. I have more of these in my closet than any other design.
It is the Paganoonoo design I always recommend starting with because it is an easy sew, especially if you are an experienced sewist but new to upcycling.
Fitting is so simple you won't believe it! Start with one shirt that fits your shoulders and bust perfectly, then nothing is altered above the armhole. The design is fit and flare, so extra hip and belly room is built right in.
My favorite hack is adding another tier to make it into a duster/ tunic/ and/or dress. Start with the original sewing tutorial, and here is the hack:
